I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. For sale here is --GENTLE GIANT--OCTOPUS- UK ORIGINAL FIRST VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL  PRESSING WITH ORIGINAL FIRST PRINT SLEEVE

STEREO  6360 080, RELEASED 1972               (VERTIGO SWIRL / SPIRAL RELEASE)?!?

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD and UN-LAMINATED.It is in GREAT condition showing VERY LITTLE wear and tear.  It is very flat and square. The colours are very strong and vibrant . The bottom edge is MINT with no wear. The top edges are in MINT condition with wear and no splits. The front is EX+ with NO UNWANTED WRITING,  NO STICKERS  AND NO STAINING and ALMOST NO SURFACE RUB. There is light wear to all four corners. The back of the sleeve is also in EX condition with some very light (not through the surface) rubbing.  The spine is very square and all the information is readable, there is a bump to the top corner(see close-up picture) The inner gatefold is in wonderful condition with NO DAMAGE just a little manufacturing glue EX+.   All in all this is in SUPERB condition for a sleeve of some 37 years of age, EX+.

LABELS.....There is no damage to either label. EX+/EX+.THIS IS THE VERY VERY 1st PRESS. This is quite easy to spot.....

1. The B-side label states "1-4. Alucard Music" below the A-side track listing. On all later pressings this was changed to "Excellency Music" which also appears on the 'space ship' labels.

2. If you look at the close-up picture of the Matrix No's you will notice that they both end with 111 proving this to be a VERY VERY first run pressing.

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have a deep black shine. When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see very few, very faint surface hair lines which are caused by removal and replacement in and out of the inner sleeve, there are no heavy marks. Both sides play WITHOUT  JUMPS just a small amount of gentle crackles on the B side intro, which disappear after the music starts. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of listening pleasure at all, great stereo separation and sound stage.  There are very light dust crackles that can be heard only in the quieter parts of the music or between tracks, but a professional clean could sort out some of that. This really is a superb copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection,   IN TOP COLLECTABLE CONDITION AND IS GRADED AS AN HONEST EX+  SOME 37 YEARS OLD NOW???!!!

 THIS IS IN THE BEST CONDITION, VERY COLECTABLE AND SO VERY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION

NEVER MIND THIS WONDERFUL CONDITION
