Description
JIMI HENDRIX - AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE, Reprise 6281, original three tone steamboat label mono pressing, released in 1968; Canadian pressing. Vinyl is a nice VG+ with light scuffs and hairline scratches; plays fine with a little background noise and the occasional pop or click. Labels are NM- with very light wear. Gatefold cover is VG+ with light edge, corner, and ring wear; no writing. I repaired a bottom seam split with Filmoplast P semi-transparent archival tape. Impossibly rare in the States, the mono mix of Jimi's second album was pressed in slightly larger quantities in Canada and elsewhere. This is your chance to own an original mono pressing without paying $2,000 for it! Arguably more adventurous (though not as ground breaking) as Are You Experienced, Axis has a couple of Jimi's finest songs, like Little Wing and If 6 Was 9, plus funky rave-ups like Wait Until Tomorrow and You Got Me Floatin'. A stone classic, in a very rare original mono mix. I prefer to use USPS priority domestic and first-class international mail; combine your purchases and save on shipping! I play grade and visually grade each record I list on Ebay, following the Goldmine rating system: M (mint), NM (near mint), VG+ (very good plus), and VG (very good). All of the records I list will be playable and in collectible condition. I won't list ANYTHING that is unplayable, unless it is strictly speaking a collectible "place holder." I've been collecting since the 1960s and think I know how important great music is to you.
