VERY RARE STOCK COPY!

This auction is for HORSES - Album Number One - White Whale 7121. GRADING: COVER: VG+ some general wear, but cover is tight with no seamsplits. DISC: VG+, graded very strictly. Vinyl is heavy. Disc has full gloss to playing surface and very clean, probably only played a couple times, but it has a few marks as though mishandled by someone at some point. LABELS: M- clean and nice, one light spindle mark on side one, no spindle marks on side 2.


This is NOT a reissue; this is the original first press. Cover states that Don Johnson is among group members, and the cover photo includes a guy that looks kinda like the actor, but most sources site the band member is not the actor. Rarely turns up, but when it does, the copy is always designated as "promotional" on label. This is a stock copy which has to be rare as hell. Record has been reissued on CD by Rev-Ola, and tracks can be heard on You-Tube. This rare gem features the songwriting talents of Carter-Gilbert who wrote such songs as "Incense & Peppermints" for Strawberry Alarm Clock. This record is nothing like that, though, being more of a revved up rural country rock sound. Nice cover art by Kittyhawk, Dean Torrence's graphics company.
