Description
Decent playing copy of this rare slice of British modern jazz from 1958 featuring the stellar Jazz Couriers, led by Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes, on the highly collectable Tempo label.
These Tempo originals are hard to find and getting rarer.
The sleeve has survived the last 65 years OK, with just some minor flaws – there's a small split to the top right corner (pictured), some peeling laminate and a few nicks to the opening edge. It grades a solid VG.
The vinyl has some marks, scuffs and hairlines but nothing major – it plays through loud and clear with occasional surface noise. An enjoyable listen and it grades VG+.
The purple and white Tempo labels are in excellent condition.
The plain white lined inner sleeve is in VG+ order.
A must for all lovers of the Brit jazz golden era of the 50s and 60s.
