KALEIDOSCOPE Tangerine Dream LP, 1st UK pressing

 

The best early Psych LP album, loaded with exceptional eclectic tracks, as well as with properly arranged and brilliant music! Peter Daltry composed unique music influenced by folk. Afterwards, the band transposed it into wonderful dimensional psych music. Think of the time - many bands were retreading beat or rock 'n roll - had anything else paved the way for this album? Kaleidoscope were outstanding....yet ignored by the record buying public in the majority of cases. A tremendous album! The compositions are consistent and fantastic – only few rare 'rated' psychedelia albums are as good in my humble opinion - and I have listened to Dr Z, July, Rainbow Ffolly, and other 'big' albums. This is a fine piece, especially due to the fact that it is in such an astounding shape!

 


Condition: The vinyl is in an EXCELLENT condition, perfectly clean aside from a few surface scratches. While taking the sound quality into account – there are scarcely any noises while starting the A side plus some background noises as well. Moreover, from time to time there are some pops audible. Aside from the aforementioned faults, the sound of the album can be described as loud, clean, and dynamic. However, in order to assess my record in a reliable manner, I assess it as EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT++ (A/B sides).

Labels are in an EXCELLENT+ conditions. There are some gentle scratches near the central hole on the first side and a single one on the second side. On both sides there is also blurred print (may it be a factory fault?).  

Cover is in EXCELLENT condition, see pics. Original inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD++ condition.
