An original 1st press of HOTH on UK Atlantic. Matrix A2/B2 - 1st possible cut. Etching "RL Sterling". Please note that the labels are VERY 1st iteration possible. No perimeter text in the upper half of the label and NO mention of the Warners logo. Well worth going for the earliest copies - they were pressed a good bit heavier. The vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. We also have the original textured inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Beautifully quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. An extremely impressive rendition - rarely do you witness HOTH play quite this clean. HOTH has two incredibly fussy Zeppelin tracks 'Rain' and 'No QTR' - both are very difficult to find playing super clean. But occasionally on a very sparingly played copy - occasionally, you get a perfect rendition. And this example is one of these show-stopper copies. If you are a die-hard Zep fan you will know what an important release HOTH is - and why would you want to compromise on the audio? For this title bide your time and make sure you get the maximum the market has to offer. And I can assure you this copy will play as good as any copy on the market. And, to be honest, it will play a lot better than even the vast majority of decent looking copies. Perfectly clean into the quiet moments - and those two super fussy tracks. At worst you might make out a couple of light crackles in a couple of isolated spots. But to all intents and purposes - FINAL UPGRADE for audio.
Cover (Ex-) Looking much better than many of the original matt covers will do by this point in time. Worth mentioning really good colour retention and very flat uncreased surfaces. The only detractor front and back is a touch of surface wear right up against the top edge. The interior is immaculate - no issues. Very slightest edge wear and sharp firm openings. Four pointy corners. The spine is absolutely spot on without fade even. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light touch of ageing. But very tidy and smart looking. No splits.
