Description

Houses of the Holy original 1973 pressing on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B3... Stamped 'Sterling' & Etched 'RL'... No mention of the WEA logo in the perimeter text which all appears below the horizontal white central line [as the first pressings have]. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with matt finish and the original textured lyrics inner sleeve printed in England by MacNeill Press .............. 100% complete & 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex) Ok,so this copy is exceedingly good. Lets start with the basics..HoftH is at times LOUD!...but a lot of it is also very low-key stuff...the sort of level where interference can be very noticeable. But not here, this copy has been looked after really well and has only seen light use. Playback is extremely good and coupled with the fact that these early issues were by far the best pressings it's not difficult to understand why they are so sought after. Both sides are in excellent condition retaining much of their original shine. Under close inspection I can only see a couple of ultra light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. There are a couple of light static crackles just audible in a couple of places but they are very very minor. The audio comes across with amazing clarity and, most importantly, quality! If you are a Zeppelin fan and looking to hear this LP in all its original glory then look no further.....
Cover (Ex) Again, has been looked after very carefully. Nice vivid colours on all sides with only very light edge wear. The cover has kept its original rigidity and really is in astonishing condition. Look at the spine -nice! ..difficult to find like this. The interior is immaculate and all the flipbacks/seams are perfectly intact - there are no hidden splits or anything like that. A really nice example of an original and hard to find cover.
Inner (Ex-) Really nice...1 inch split to a side seam, but otherwise in great condition and remarkably free from ageing. A lovely example especially for a 1973 original.
