Description
A rare and probably unique opportunity to bid for an authentic original white label pre-production pressing of Pink Floyd's album 'Dark Side Of The Moon' issued by EMI in 1973. The album is on two separate vinyl discs (12in), each of which has one blank side and one with the tracks. The centres of the discs have blank white labels which gives the name to these items. There is no writing on the white labels.
Only a very limited number of these pressings would be produced, many of which would be destroyed, which means they are extremely rare. These two vinyls carry the matrix codings SHVL804A-2 and SHVL804B-2.
The discs come in their original factory white inner sleeves one of which is dated 16 Feb 1973 within a clean original album cover. I have had them in my possession for nearly 40 years during which time they have been played only a small number of times and therefore they are in near mint condition.
