HALLELUJAH: THE PORTSMOUTH SINFONIA AT ROYAL ALBERT HALL
EXTREMELY rare LP comprising an actual live performance by this legendary orchestra featuring musicians who are somewhat less than proficient on their chosen instruments. Brian Eno appears as one of several clarinetists, Michael Nyman plays the euphonium; and I'm sure there are some other luminaries on here as well. Released in 1974 on Antilles Records, USA. TRACKS: Mr. Michael Bond's Address; From the 'Nutcracker Suite' (Tchaikovsky); From the 'Keralia Suite' (Sibelius); Marche Militaire in D Major (Schubert); Piano Concerto No. 1 in Bb Minor; 1812 Overture (Tchaikovsky); William Tell Overture (Rossini); Hallelujah Chorus (Handel). CONDITION: The cover is in excellent condition save for light to moderate wear and creasing at edges and corners. The disc is in excellent condition; it plays beautifully, with no skips and little or no surface noise. U.S. SHIPPING INFO: I ship all records in an exceptionally sturdy padded mailer via USPS media mail with delivery confirmation. This costs $3.90 (including $1.50 for the record mailer) for up to three records, and usually takes 3 to 10 days to arrive. Insurance for media mail is optional; it costs $1.30 for coverage up to $50.00, and $2.20 for coverage up to $100.00.
