Description

Transatlantic TRA 275

First of all this is not a typical classical album.  Many of the musicians in the orchestra at the time were beginners and some were of concert standard.  This leads to a "unique" interpretation of the popular classics. No doubt Beethoven would have enjoyed the Portsmouth Sinfonia in his later years.  He was deaf.

Incidentally, Brian Eno plays flute on this album as well as having been involved with the Sound Production.

If you love classical music, don't buy this album.  If you like a good laugh, however, I can recommend it.

Of course this depends on your sense of humour....
