Description
Shellac: The Futurist LP (Shellac Recording No. 9). Often refered to as the "Friend" Album. Very hard to come by copy of this LP. Probably you know the story, but just in case, this LP was pressed by the band and never offered for sale and was given as a gift to friends of the band. The rear cover lists all the recepients. As such it's almost never sold, but a few trickled out here and there. This copy originated from an ex employee of Southern studios in the UK who had no particular interest in it and as such it has never been played , in fact the first time it was removed from its cover was when it was photographed. The record is pressed to the standard that you would expect from Shellac. Very thick vinyl with crystal clear grooves. Sleeve is perfect with no dents or creases. Its been kept in a pvc and filed on a shelf since new. The previous owner's name has been circled in silver pen and I will not reveal its name.
This is the original pressing, not a boot. Etched in the run-off grooves is (side 1) Thank you-001-A , then letters reading "GOLDEN" then 366.1 (3) (side 2) Thank you-001-B, then letters reading "GOLDEN", then 366.2
The record is located in London and if sold outside the UKwill only be sent with insurance via international signed for service from the Royal mail which will cost around $25 which includes insurance up to $1000.
I can guaranteed that this is a genuine original copy and is unplayed and in perfect pristine condition.
