 THE COVER: 

Beautiful LOS ANGELES #6 Mono Butcher Cover

The color on this butcher is stunning - guaranteed to be a head turning item.  The different bright blues on this classic LA cover are truely eye catching and vivid. LA butchers have that real pretty bright blue tint to them that makes them unique. This particular copy was retrieved from its original tattered shrikwrap (please see attached pictures).  The shrink was pretty well shot, but did a great job of preserving the cover.  There is just one small part of the upper seam edge that shows any discoloration at all, and that is virtually unnoticeable.  This cover is stunning and is one of the absolute best to be offered by us in many many moons!

As with virtually all of our butchers, the pictures allow you to see the incredible fine dot matrix texture of the original butcher slick that has been exposed.   Often times, excessive glue residue from amatuer peels, or very difficult to peel butchers makes this detail hard to see.  Excessive glue residue also dulls the color of the butcher giving  a yellowish cast to the overall color.  That is not an issue here.  Look at the finite detail of that dot matrix printing in the photos!  These dot matrix lithos have a unique hue to them that makes a butcher cover look even more magical in person.  AND -THERE ARE NO TOUCH UPS OR FLAWS FROM PEELING ON THE BUTCHER COVER IMAGE! The detail is stunning. 

The edges on the border surrounding the butcher image are a beautiful clean white as they were protected all of those years by the original shrinkwrap.  The seams are all in rock solid condition with no splits, cracks, or harsh wear. All of the spine print is in great condition. You can even see the little stars above the Capitol Records Logo on the bottom spine - that in and of itself is very unusual.  Most spine printing is usually pretty worn.  Evidence once again thaqt the old shrinkwrap did its job. 

The printing on the back is all there, bold and black, and contrasts very nicely with the bright white of the surrounding cover.  This back panel is overall milky bright white and is so far above what you normally see on ebay that it really does factor into the overall higher value of such a divine cover. Most aspects of this cover makes this copy look like new. The photos tell it all - extremely clean and white. This is one really nice butcher!  Just a gorgeous classic cover to show off in your office, den, or music gallery!

This offering also includes an original peeled Yesterday and Today album slick that can be framed with your butcher.

THE LP IS A FULL GLOSS VG++ ON THE VINYL.  THE RAINBOW LABELS ARE A SOLID VG+++.  LP IS NOT NM, NOR IS IT BEING ADVERTIZED AS SUCH, BUT IS ABOVE AVERAGE FOR THIS TITLE. THESE ARE ABOUT AS DIFFICULT TO FIND NM AS THE BUTCHER COVER ITSELF.  THIS LP HAS BEEN CLEANED ON A VPI RECORD CLEANER, BUT I WILL CANNOT GUARANTEE IT WILL PLAY NM DUE - DUE TO THE DIFFERENCES IN THE QUALITY OF SYSTEMS, WE GRADE VISUALLY ONLY.  ALSO INCLUDED IS AN ORIGINAL ORANGE CAPITOL 66 INNER SLEEVE MAKING THIS A COMPLETE 1966 CAPITOL RECORDS YESTERDAY AND TODAY BUTCHER PACKAGE.
