Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched pressing of Sonny Rollins “With the Modern Jazz Quartet” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRLP 7029. The playing surface is in very close to new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The original non-laminated West 50th Street frame cover is also in amazing condition: clean throughout with normal light age toning on the right edge of the back slick; ¼” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening. These original covers were misprints, having the wrong catalogue number (7020) on the front. On this cover, there is a ¾” pen line from the bottom of the last “0”, in an attempt to make it look like a “9”.
