Regarding records for this upcoming Sunday auction:- almost ALL are from an INCREDIBLE collection that was played ONCE to tape and NEVER played again!  There were a VERY few LPs from this collection which the owner did play slightly more, but at least 90% of them were only ever played once or twice to tape - with most of the collection being in ASTOUNDING condition!!!!  And again, the nearly ALL covers were kept in plastic sleeves from the day they were bought.  So essentially 90% of them look exactly like they did when purchased 30 or 40 years ago!  This is just one LP from that collection:-

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Cure called "Faith" and is an ORIGINAL 1981 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Fiction label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS ONE OF THE CURE'S RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1981 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  IT IS ALSO 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 'PICTURE/CREDITS' INNER SLEEVE (NEARLY ALWAYS MISSING!) WHICH IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND COMPLETELY UNSPLIT!!!!

IT IS ALSO WORTH NOTING THAT THIS IS A 100% GENIUNE 'DAY OF RELEASE' 1ST PRESSING FROM 1981 - AND IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  IT HAS:-

1) BLACK TEXT TO THE SIDE 1 LABEL & WHITE TEXT TO THE SIDE 2 LABEL (LATER ONES DONT!)

2) IT DOES NOT HAVE '(2383 605)' & 'STEREO' ON THE LABELS!  THIS WAS A MAJOR ERROR ON RELEASE - AS THE '(2383 605)' ALWAYS APPEARS ON THE INNER AND COVER - AND WAS INTENDED TO BE ON THE LABELS ASWELL!  HOWEVER DUE TO A MISTAKE THIS WAS MISSING FROM ALL 100% GENIUNE 'DAY OF RELEASE' 1ST PRESSINGS - AND WAS ADDED TO THE LABELS ON ALL LATER RE-PRESSINGS AND RE-ISSUES!!!!

3) ON THE LABELS THE CAT NUMBER IS SIMPLY 'FIX6' WITH NO SPACE!  LATER COPIES EITHER HAVE A SPACE BETWEEN THE 'FIX' AND THE 6 - OR HAVE FIXD 6' CAT NUMBERS INSTEAD!!!!

4) THE INNER SLEEVE ONLY HAS 1 '(2383 605)' BELOW THE 'FIX 6' CAT NUMBER!!!!  ON LATER RE-PRESSINGS A DOT WAS ADDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NUMBER, AND SOME INNERS EVEN HAVE AN EXTRA DUPLICATE OF THIS NUMBER ADDED ASWELL.

SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1981 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS FICTION LABEL, 1ST PRESS DETAILS (AS CLEARLY DESCRIBED ABOVE!), 1ST PRESS 'CREDITS / PICTURE' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Fiction UK 1st Pressing from 1981 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is FIX 6 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Fiction label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in absolutely SUPERB condition!!!!  Most of these Punk/New Wave LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light hairline traces, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light TINY surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Excellent(Minus) if not FULL Excellent!!!!  SUPERB RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Credits / Picture' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition and most importantly UNSPLIT!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear (SUPERB unworn edges!), NO spinal wear (SUPERB spine with PERFECT side words!), NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, barely ANY corner wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour!), NO rips, NO tears, barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO yellowing, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to the back top corner tips, NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent(Minus) if not FULL Excellent!!!!  SUPERB COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
