Description
This is a rare opportunity to own a genuine 1968 UK Mono original of Odessey and Oracle. While the audio fidelity remains powerful and "thick" (as only the true mono mix can be), there are audible defects as detailed below.
I've owned this since the late 1970s and it's always been stored safely on record shelves.
Runout matrices: 63280 A1 and 63280 B1. Discogs ref: r2339853
Vinyl condition: VG
Has been cleaned in Spincare record cleaner and static removed with a Zerostat gun. Various light scratches or scuffs, some of which are seen in the photos. No jumps, loud pops or locked grooves.
Side 1:
- Scratch at very start of side 1 (pls listen to video) but goes quickly.
- Two other scratches also pictured. One causes noticeable ticking / crackling to track 2 and carries on part way into track 3 then stops.
- Long lateral one causes light tick on several tracks but comes and goes - not audible in various places.
- Light lateral scratch across tracks 1-3. Causes a noticeable crackle pattern / ticking on those tracks and between.
- Later in track 2 it becomes less noticeable but with odd tick still in tracks 2 and 3.
- No heavy or deep scratches or scuffs.
- Lovely rich sound on playback.
- Spine fully readable.
- Only the slightest wear to the four corners.
- Some age-related spotting to the unlaminated rear.
- No writing, tears, separations, labels or label residue.
