Fun and Free Punk at its' best! For sale here is a rare Thought Criminals EP – Hilton Bomber - Catalogue No. Side 1/A - ANSI 05, Catalogue No. Side 2 - DTDT1 - Legal reprint of almost impossible to find Australian punk rock classic! 2006 (originally released in 1978 as Doublethink 01) - there were only 120 copies pressed on amber vinyl. This reissue has a photocopy insert covered in graphics and quotes from the band covering the times, history and track development - very interesting if you're a committed fan. Note the silhouette figure on side 1 top right is one man, but on side 2, there are two men!!!!If you're a collector of Aus' Punk KBD or a general collector of Punk releases from around the world and don't have this release your collection is missing a great piece, is a must have record !

The Thought Criminals’ are like Sydney's own MC5. This was their first recording, with Mark Kingsmill (aka Jim Boots, and the brother of JJJ's Richard Kingsmill) on drums. The EP was the inaugural release on the band’s own Doublethink label.
From WIKI: "The Thought Criminals were an influential and enterprising Australian punk band based in Sydney. They formed in late 1977 and disbanded in late 1981. The "angular, fast and quirky punk rock" of the Thought Criminals "was a fixture in the burgeoning Sydney underground scene." The band’s name was derived from the concept of ‘thoughtcrimes’ (unapproved thoughts) from George Orwell’s book, 1984. The Thought Criminals exemplified the do-it-yourself punk ethos of the late 1970s, with which they combined considerable business acumen. The band members formed the Doublethink record label and agency which provided recording and live performance opportunities for other new bands."
The record has a great shine and plays with minimal noise, EX-. As you can see the paper sleeve has price sticker glue at top right.
Both the labels are in excellent condition. Perhaps an ultra conservative grade could maybe drop it down to EX- to be safe however under normal light it looks EX+. The generic record sleeve stamped with the bands name is in EX condition with no storage wear or rips, please see photos provided.
