Two amazing sides recorded by Texan Ronnie Dawson for Columbia back in ’61 or so a few months after the Do Do Do sessions.  Columbia canned the B-side, but supposedly tacked “Jump & Run” on to a four song promo.  Somehow both songs wound up on the tiny Banner label out of Lubbock, but not until 1966.  Jump & Run is an amazing uptempo rocker with harmonica (Bruce Channel?) and a nice big beat.  A bit slower, but no less savage, is Tied Down.  Cool Texas trash and two of the Blonde Bomber’s hottest sides EVER.  RIP Ronnie…

Condition:  Strong VG  Slight label wear on both sides.  No writing on labels. Vinyl is shiny with light surface scuffs and scratches.  Plays with very slight noise.   You will be pleased with this copy.  There seems to be a bit of a glare bouncing off my scanner.  Lo siento…

 

Only going because I found a cleaner copy in the same flea market I found this copy in a few years ago.
