Description

An original Mono 1st Press of Oldies on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1G/1G. Please note label design is totally consistent with 1st press - all the publishing dates are positioned on the left-side. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original mono Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is a late-60's CBS poly-line advertising inner [Not the Emi original!].
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few superficial marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of lightest static in a couple of spots e.g. a touch in Yesterday....but nothing invasive or persistent. A very nice all round player with little to find fault with.   Cover (Ex-) Nice shiny front with only one light crease over toward the opening and a couple of tiny thumbnails. The rear seems to have avoided the ageing process - then there's just one biro squiggle in the top right corner. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Lightest of ageing. No splits.
