Description

An original 1st press of LIB on UK Apple. Matrix 2U/2U - the earliest possible iteration for LIB. Please note earliest 1st press often came with a RED Apple logo on the rear of the cover. They then switched production to a green Apple at 1st issue. Please note On side 1 label the '1' of track one can be found directly below the I&D of 'Side 1'. It sounds crazy - but this is precisely the design layout of the very earliest 1st copies. Well worth going for the early copies as they were pressed heavier. Will ship in a poly lined inner from the time.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very  slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. In my experience LIB is an incredibly fussy record - one of the fussiest by the Beatles.  'Let It Be' and 'Winding Road' are hard to find playing clean even on good looking copies. But this copy is delivering a pretty clean rendition on these two [not perfect - but better than you tend to usually find]. The only vague issue I could pick out was 'Universe' - I'm getting a few light static crackles...just  occasionally. Nothing upfront at all - it just won't play quite as clean as the other tracks. Other than that - a super player. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) In great condition and the aesthetic of that front image - has been largely preserved. Nice deep blacks which have not faded - just a couple of thumbnails toward the opening. The rear is equally good with a couple of thumbnail toward the opening. Edge wear is relatively minor - it seems that one or two light patches have been inked in to keep it tidy. The spine is fully intact with all text legible - just a few slight stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Very nice indeed.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
