Description
A fourth press of PPM on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-RH/4-OH. Please note the labels are consistent with an early press from 1963 - there's no 'Sold In The UK..' statement apparent. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J. Day cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity and barely any interference at all. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - that really is all we could remotely pick up. Audio quality is absolutely top-level as you'd expect from one of these early well preserved copies. Please note - there is a signature on the side 1 label.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. These early EJ Day covers often suffer a lot of damage and fade - not here! A lovely shiny front with only the very slightest creasing and a rear totally free from ageing - now that is difficult to find. The only vaguely noticeable issues are the signature on the rear and that the bottom edge is worn through - 1 inch [plus a tiny sticker in the top right corner]. Otherwise edge wear is pretty light and overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. Difficult to imagine bettering.
Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
