Description

A 1st pressing from 1971 on the UK Rolling Stones label. Matrix A3/B4. Etching "TML / Rolling Stone Records". Please note, importantly, there is no mention on the labels of "Promotone". These were later copies and this is the bona fide 1st press. The Lp comes housed in a top-loading Warhol designed cover printed by Richard Davis Ltd [1st issue] with a pinched spine. Also included is the original lyric insert and the original white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb shape and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal - all we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of tracks - and even this is minor. The only deviation from the given grading is the final 20 seconds of  'White Horses' where a mark causes some crackle and a couple of pops. The audio on these 1st presses is amazing - lovely rich sound with super tonality.
Cover (Vg+) Has clearly very carefully cared for down the years. It is exhibiting a few light marks at the outer edge - nothing that noticeable. But overall the cover retains great integrity. The zip is intact and fully operational. There are no heavy creases and only some light indentations as is common from the zip. There's only light edge wear and all text on the spine is readable. Overall a very nice specimen of this genuine and hard to find original classic LP.
Lyric insert (Ex) No issues at all. Great condition.
Inner (Vg+) No side splits. Bit of ageing.
