THE YARDBIRDS

'FIVE LIVE YARDBIRDS'

Original LP on the EPIC RECORDS lable cat# LN 26 201

. The brilliant YARDBIRDS featuring the enthusiastic band in their first band release on album.
One 'enthusiast' was on guitar in the shape of Eric Clapton of course, but he was soon to quit for Mayall's Bluesbreakers due to his not wanting to make hit records.
Jeff beck is listed on the back cover though, so I believe this to be the first issue in Germany in 1965. Unique and interesting 'bios' under the band member pics - and knowing how rare their EPs are from this country - I'd say this is far scarcer. I have not seen another copy before this, anyway. A VERY cool band shot on the front cover, which makes for a nice presentation (frame-worthy if you feel so inclined).
Good stuff, and a rare album!

The vinyl is in VG- condition, good shine and playing well. A few needle-trail scratch marks and small scuffs bring the grade, but it sounds really good. It has been professionally cleaned and as usual with this recording - it's got an amount of crackle especially between tracks.
The labels are VG++
The laminated single cover is VG, lovely solid card but some seam-issues/repairs, and some pen (filling in the 'circled' RD and B letters of the band-name)

Don't miss a nice rare psych LP!
