Description
The Velvet Underground "Loop" featuring John Cale Guitar and Feedback. This is the first half of a 15 minute recording made with 2 monaural tape recorders with the final groove purposely left open. This is the first Velvet Underground record and was Included in Aspen Magazine number 3. The third issue of Aspen Magazine was designed by Andy Warhol who was also the Velvet Underground's manager. The Loop is actually on side two, side one is Peter Walker "White Wind". Walker is listed as the musical director for Timothy Leary's LSD religious celebrations. Also included with the record are 3 essays one by Lou Reed called "The view from the bandstand" and an example of a poster from one of Warhol's happenings.
