“Mehrpouya Sitar” LP
Iran - Ahang Rooz Records - Year 1976
Extremely rare original and only pressing. Originally released in 1976 solely in Iran and is now considered a HOLY GRAIL by many crate diggers and collectors.
One side of this LP is all deep funk psych grooves that borrows ideas from all over including American funk masters like Dennis Coffey while the other half is a more meditative, reflective and droning experimental raga instrumentals)
Media Grading: Strong VG (both sides open with some occasional mild noise, still firmly in the solid VG realm but audio quality increases throughout and reaches, more or less, a VG+ level of playback before the half way point of each side. Very very light warp spot that does not affect play. Record was even tested with two cartridges, a Shure with tracking around 1.25g to 1.5g and an Ortofon with tracking around 2.5g to 2.75g to assume this very mild warping would not be an issue on any system)
Sleeve Grading: VG+ (lower VG+ due to creasing and mild corner)

I might be a new seller on ebay but I'm not new to record selling and collecting. I have worked at record stores, have sold at record shows and I have sold on and off on Discogs since it's beginning. I've always wanted to join the ebay marketplace but was afraid of starting out as a new seller. I finally decided to stop worrying and start listing.
Grading, Shipping and Returns
I try to grade conservatively and I adapt this conservative approach to Goldmine Standards but I do use EX and VG- when needed because I feel Goldmine grading is not descriptive enough compared to any other grading system and not always descriptive enough. NM looks an sounds like a mint album while EX would look like a mint or near mint album with maybe one superficial mark or light scuff/hairline that does not affect play. I also try to provide well-recorded audio samples of the exact item for sale. You can hear the grade before buying but I promise you won't be disappointed.
When shipping, I use new professional LP or 45 mailers along with sturdy inserts. Every item will come in a clear plastic outer sleeve, the media will be removed from the sleeve and any included inner sleeve and placed into a new white inner sleeve to prevent seam splits.
