BEATLES UK – Abbey Road LP, mis pressed sleeve / label.
1969 PCS 7088 - Apple record labels.
An early UK issue album in original condition, featuring:
1. side two of the record label has been mis pressed, for on the track ‘Carry that weight’ the word ‘songs’ on the publishing credit is missing half the letter ‘g’, and the letter ‘s’ is missing !. And below this the writers credit for the track ‘The End’, the letters ‘e’ and ‘y’ on the word ‘McCartney’ is almost missing, and it looks as if an additional letter ‘y’ was printed !. This should have been spotted by EMIs quality control, but it got missed and the record got out into the shops. This is a printing error, as theres no ‘scuffing’ or paper loss at, or around this area of the label,
2. the front and rear photos of the sleeve appear to have a ‘reddish’ hue (colour) to them, compared to a regular sleeve, giving the photos a more rich and vivid appearance,
3. on side two of the record label the track ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed nor is it printed on the rear of the sleeve, but the track plays on the record !,
4. the inner sleeve has an unusual two figure ‘Patent number’ printed on it, as it reads, ‘Patent No. 112,5555 and 107,2844.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the sleeve is laminated front and rear. The four corners of the sleeve have remained crisp and sharp and the two opening edges of the sleeve have also remained crisp and sharp. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in near excellent condition, with just a little laminate loss in places, all the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO stains, pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original rare EMI plain white sleeve, with not one, but two ‘Patent Nos’ on, see above details. An excellent clean, white sleeve for its age that has been well preserved. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE VINYL: is in excellent condition, with just some light marks here and there. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.
The matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,
The mother/stampers are: ‘ 1 M D ’ and ‘ 2 A P ’,
THE AUDIO: is excellent++, it plays with virtually no crackle, one of the best audios I have heard from this album for a long time. It was an absolute pleasure to hear this record and its wonderful audio. It plays with a superb full clear period stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, there are some spindle marks around each of the spindle holes. As this is a very early issue record, side one shows a DARK green Apple colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
