Description
BEATLES UK - Rubber Soul original mono, rare ridged label.
PMC 1267 original Mono.
Original 1965 yellow and black Parlophone labels.
A UK first press album in original condition.
1. on side one there is a curious ‘ridge’ to the record label, the ridge is 10mm in from the outer edge of the record label. It is believed that these rare ridged labels were a result of EMI using an old pressing machine to help meet the demand of production,
2. on side two there are the letters ‘MT’ embossed around the spindle hole of the record label. Technically this is incorrect for a record made in 1965, as the ‘MT’ code was no longer used after July 1963, so this tends to confirm the above point,
3. the record has regular EMI mother / stampers.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is very good+ condition and all of the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period ‘tri flipbacks’ design. There is a name written in blue pen to the rear top, right and some rubbing wear to the top middle edge. There are NO tears. There are some age related marks to the rear of the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original EMI period ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. It is very clean and white for its age. There are NO tears, splits, stains or pen writing on the sleeve.
THE VINYL: is in near excellent condition and is made from the original thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl is very dark and glossy.
The matrix nos. are - XEX 579 - 4 and XEX 580 – 4,
The mother / stampers are: ‘ 11 R G A ’ and ‘ 7 R D D ’.
THE AUDIO: is excellent, it plays with very little crackle, an excellent playing copy. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: are in very good++ condition, unusually there are the letters ‘MT’ embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
