1965 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This superb conditioned copy is on the familiar black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 449-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 4,8/ATT & 1,6/ALT

An extremely fine set with just a few small spindle marks to each centre hole but no other blemishes or wear.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine & immaculate surfaces which are in a perfect unmarked MINT condition in strong daylight with only a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines upon close examination directly beneath my halogen desk lamp which I really struggle to find. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: NEAR MINT
This extremely impressive sounding copy has received only a few careful, light plays on top-quality equipment. All tracks play clearly & clearly with no sign of any groove/play wear in either channel - even the delicate and easily damaged 'Yesterday' plays without crackle, break-up or any other faults.
Cover
EXCELLENT -
A fine example of this easily blemished cover which retains a clean and white front panel showing a few light edge wrinkles but no significant or major signs of wear. There is slight corner & opening edge wear but no heavy bumps, tears or feathering. The rear panel is nice and clean with no marks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, seams and the fully worded spine are all intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD +
Clean & crisp with some storagewear wrinkling but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
