Description

A 1st pressing of Burn on the UK Purple label from 1974. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'Pecko' & 'Porky/Mel/Trish'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original EMI inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is almost non-existent, nothing more than a couple of crackles the entire way through [literally] - just at the end of the fade-out in the final track. The audio delivered by these early copies defies belief. Great balance and superb tonality.
Cover (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has clearly been very carefully looked after down the years. Beautiful shiny front and rear with no fading at all. Just the very lightest handling wear. Edge wear is light and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits or ageing.
