Description
A genuine very 1st press of 'In Rock' on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 2/1. Stampers 1-R/1-GL. Please note labels are consistent with very 1st press - 'Gramophone' still appears in the perimeter text and there is NO Emi logo apparent. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. There's no original inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) In impressive condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. A truly super rendition with even 'Child In Time' playing very nice and clean - and that's the test track for pedigree! Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments and one click toward the end of 'WRECK'. Very nice player - a definite keeper.
Cover (Ex) In superb shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with barely a crease. The rear is only exhibiting a couple of tiny thumbnail creases. The interior is in lovely condition with just lightest ageing at the extremities. Edge wear is light and the spine is pretty much all intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a great specimen.
