Description

A genuine very 1st press of 'In Rock' on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 2/1. Stampers 1-GGG/2-LP. Please note labels are consistent with very 1st press - 'Gramophone' still appears in the perimeter text and there is NO Emi logo apparent. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original Harvest inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Plays through very nicely with a touch of low-level static just audible here and there. Certainly nothing that would classify as invasive, low-level in the back ground - mainly noticeable in the quieter sections like 'Child In Time'. Even taking this minor issue into account it is still a very impressive rendition and will more than satisfy most folk, just not those seeking perfection.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with barely a crease. the rear is in great condition too with just a few indentations and a small scuff mark over toward the left side. The interior is very nice condition with just lightest ageing at the extremities. Edge wear is light and the spine is pretty much all intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Bit of light ageing. No splits though.
