Description

An original 1st press of MH on UK Purple. Matrix A1U/B1U. Stampers 1L/1OR [excellent audio provenance]. Please note labels exhibit "Gramophone" in the perimeter text - which is indicative of 1st issue on this title. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with left panel sealed shut which forms a nice solid front panel. We also have an original inner sleeve from the time and the original 1st issue lyric sheet. The 1st issue lyric sheet/poster should have TWO folds [not THREE]. So, we're 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. If you're looking for a show stopping copy - that is complete. Well done - you just found it! These 1st copies sound awesome pressed on solid pre-oil crisis vinyl. And EMI were a dab hand pressing a great record in this period. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Low-key sections are clean as are the bluesy fuelled riffing sections.  A few low level crackles in the intro to 'LAZY'. Very minor - just picking out to be as critical as I can. Loving It. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) A very solid example of the original cover. Front and rear are shiny and flat with only light handling [a couple of creases bottom left corner on rear]. The interior is in superb condition and has avoided the ageing process. Edgewear is minimal and the spine is looking very nice. All text legible and very little wear - but it has compressed a little. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.   Poster (Ex-) Great condition. One crease. Little sign of ageing.
