Description

An original 1st press of MH on the UK Purple label. Matrix A1/B1. Note the perimeter text on the labels mentions 'Gramophone' - these are the 1st issues. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with left openings sealed shut - forming a nice solid opening panel. We have an original inner sleeve from the time and the original two-fold lyric poster. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Not much to turn your nose up at on this copy - a supreme rendition. All the power and presence of an early cut with great detail too. It plays clean throughout - I can't really imagine going much better. Even the run into to 'SMOKE' plays clean - which is an excellent sign. At worst a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. I.e. practically nothing. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition with a clean and flat front and rear. Expect a couple of stress creases at the spine edge [no big deal at all]. The interior is clean and seems to have avoided the ageing process. Edge wear is very slight and the openings are still sharp and firm. The spine suffers a bit of compression as is common on this title. So, the text isn't worn - but difficult to make out as a result of this. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
Lyric Poster (Ex) Very tidy. Never been near a wall.
