Description
This is a rare opportunity to buy a rare LP. Only 1000 copies of this LP were pressed on black vinyl and only a mere 20 in blue vinyl as it was recorded on their own private "Banshee" label. Spriguns have become a cult band with this undoubtedly their rarest and most sought after LP. Their early LPs were on Decca and later on Mandy went on to record with Polydor. Check on www.popsike.com to see how much this LP has changed hands for.
I have had this LP since it was sent to me by the bass player Mike Morton himself as a review copy when I was a folk journalist in 1978.
The LP, recorded in 1978, includes the hexagonal shaped insert which includes the song lyrics on one side and pictures of the musicians on the other.
The LP itself is without any warp and the record plays with no pops of surface noise. It is in truly remarkable condition, possibly the best condition of all my vinyls. It can be termed as mint. It has only been played a couple of times and has been kept in careful condition with my record collection in a smoke free house. The sleeve cover is very good although not mint.
Session musicians include ex-Gryphon guitarist Graeme Taylor and the late Tim Hart who played with Steeleye Span.
The record will be sent out in a sturdy cardboard LP package and recorded delivery. Please check my feedback which shows 100% as a buyer and seller. Bid with confidence. Due to the rarity of this item there is a reserve price. I am happy to receive payment by personal cheque. Please feel free to ask any questions.
