This LP is actually an item which we can truely call a rarity given that only 1,000 copies were pressed initially.
An original 1st press of 'Magic Lady' on Banshee Records from autumn 1978. Matrix A/B. Etching "EG". The vinyl comes housed in an original English printed cover. Also included is the original Hexagon shaped inner sheet. And then we have an original inner sleeve dated to the month of release 10-78...October 1978. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely stunning condition and has clearly seen only the lightest use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. I have to say pressing quality and, certainly, quality control is superb on this release. The audio quality is breathtaking and is clearly a faithful reproduction of the artistes work - transparency is absolutely top-level. Given the nature of the audio you will need to insist on a perfectly preserved copy, because anything else will be distracting. I'm pleased to report that playback is nigh on perfect. Interference is totally absent. Throughout the entire record I picked up no more than a couple of tiny crackles. So, you will never find a better playing copy than this one - no matter how long you look for it. Guaranteed at FINAL UPGRADE level.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Front is still very nice and black without excessive wear. Please note there's a touch of creasing toward the edge of each quadrant - nothing unsightly though. There's also just a slight wave in the cover so it's relatively flat, but don't expect it to sit perfectly flat. The rear is in equally good condition with just a couple of 'tick' indentations against a couple of the tracks. Edge wear is very light and the text on the spine is fully legible, Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Insert (Ex) No fading or rips. just one tiny crease to one of the hexagon corners.
Inner (Ex) A couple of age spots, but no markings or splits.
