Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on UK Harvest. Matrix A1U/B1U - the 1st cut. Stampers 1-OT/1-AT. "Gramophone" in the perimeter label text. The vinyl comes housed in an original fully textured [inside and out] cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A superbly preserved original copy which has only seen light use. A couple of very slight marks per side - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Just the sort of copy you want if you're looking for an unbeatable rendition with a perfectly clear background. This is incredibly difficult to find with a lot of the Floyd Lps, but occasionally one surfaces where someone's really taken tremendous care with it. As good a rendition of Meddle as I've ever witnessed. And god knows - it's a bloody fussy title! All quiet sectors play totally quiet. All slow-builds [e.g. swirling wind & submarine pings] - total clarity. Like I said - pretty much the perfect copy. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and without the sort of surface wear that is so typical of the original copies. Front and rear are really nice and flat with pretty much no signs of wear to the surfaces. The interior looks superb with just lightest ageing as is almost impossible to avoid. There's a bit of light wear at the edges but nothing that noticeable or problematic. The openings are still sharpish and nice and firm. A bit of light wear on the spine - which is very difficult to avoid. But all text still perfectly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
