Description

An original 1st issue of Meddle on the UK Harvest label from 1971. Matrix A4/B3. Please note, importantly, that 'Gramophone' is still evident in the label's perimeter text - indicative of 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover with light texturing. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+/NM) In astonishing condition and I can safely say "the best I have ever witnessed". Under close inspection we can only make out a couple of super-light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome or that will feature audibly. Mirror like perfection and with the original waste-vinyl still evident in the spindle hole - it has clearly see ultra-light useage. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Faultless in every way and it goes straight in at no.1 as the best copy I've ever auditioned. The audio purity is breathtaking..absolutely second to none. Intros and inbetweens are perfectly silent and the audio is completely unhindered. You will never witness a better copy... Interference is totally absent..I can't remember more than a couple of crackles - literally the whole way though. Even the acoustic pips that signal the start of side 2 have no interference in the background - this is very very unusual. FINAL UPGRADE... cannot be beaten.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Nice clean front with only a couple of super-light indentations. The rear is very nice too with just that horizontal mark down toward the bottom - thankfully due to the image used on Meddle it doesn't actually stand out much at all. The interior looks great without the usual ageing or foxing. Edge wear is very light and the text on the spine still pretty much all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Minimal ageing and no splits. There is a good bit of text written on it though. All the text is neat and is essentially the track details for the album as re-counted by the original owner.
