An original 1st press of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A1U/B1U. Stampers 2-AG/3-PO. Please note the labels are still mentioning "Gramophone" in the perimeter text - which is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue gatefold cover which is textured inside and out. Also included is the original Harvest advertising inner sleeve. So 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen the very lightest use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Most certainly one of the best renditions of Meddle I've witnessed. It has a deathly silence in the background...perfect! That's just what you need on these PF releases because the audio is so often low-key. The audio delivered from this example is astonishingly good and you'd have to really go some to even equal this standard. This example is preserved to a high level with even the submarine echo pips on the intro to side 2 playing CLEAN. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All I could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Both front and back are clean and flat with little sign of creasing or handling wear. The interior looks very nice - no issues at all. Edge wear is pretty light for this title and there's just a touch on the spine, but the text is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits, but a bit aged.
