BEATLES UK – ABBEY ROAD LP - MISALIGNED APPLE - ORIGINAL STEREO.
1969 PCS 7088 - APPLE RECORD LABEL.
An original UK first press album in 100% original condition featuring a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve and NO mention of the song ‘Her Majesty’ on the record label ( but the song DOES play on the record ! ).
The record features very early Mother/Stampers on side Two, they are ‘ 1 G G ’,
The record label on side Two feature a ‘ Brown Apple core ’ detail !, these labels normally just appear White in colour !.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the full laminate sleeve has an excellent glossy finish. The spine is thin and in excellent condition and all the text is clear. These very first press copies of this sleeve featured the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and the later sleeves had the Apple logo aligned with the song listing !.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, it is white with a ‘ Patent no. 1,125,555’ on it.
THE VINYL: side One is in very good++ condition, side Two is in very good+ condition. As this is a very first pressing it is made from thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl is dark and glossy.
The Matrix is: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 – 1,
The Mother/Stampers are : 2 - G R and 1 G G, very early.
THE AUDIO: is very good, there is some crackle to be heard. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays without the needle sticking or jumping.
THE LABELS: are in near excellent condition and being a first pressing show a DARK Green Apple, there is NO mention of the song ‘ Her Majesty ’ on the label on side Two, but this song DOES play on the record !.
