BEATLES UK  –   ABBEY ROAD LP,  MISPRESSED LABEL !.

1969 PCS 7088 -  APPLE RECORD LABEL.

An early UK album in 100% excellent original condition featuring:

1. the record  label  on side two has  a rare ‘mispress’ ? / variant.   The text on the  white side only  unusually shows the text  ‘thirty three and one third’ and  ‘PCS 7088’  on the bottom line of  the text on the label.   This text normally appears on  the  2nd line of text on the label !   I think this must have been a result  of the printing plates at EMI  being altered, but the printing plates  were soon corrected.

2. the track ‘ Her Majesty ’ is NOT printed on the record label nor on the back of the sleeve  BUT the track  DOES play on the record !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in  excellent  condition,   the sleeve is fully  laminated.   The  thin, very flat  spine is in  very good condition and all the text  is clear to read.  For its age the sleeve has  retained its  four  very good  sharp corners.  There are NO stains, pen writing,  tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue. 

THE INNER SLEEVE:    is in  excellent condition  and  is the original white EMI sleeve with a ‘ Patent No.  1,125,555’ reference. An excellent clean, white fresh sleeve for its age. Theres   NO pen writing, stains, splits, tears,   stickers or sticker residue. 

THE VINYL:  side one is in near excellent condition, side two is in excellent++ condition.  The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl, it is  very  dark and glossy.  

The Matrix are :       YEX  749 - 2    and    YEX 750 – 1,

The Mother/Stampers are :     ‘ 9    G L A  ’   and   ‘  4   G L D ’.

THE AUDIO:    is very good,  each side plays with some background crackle,  but   as the  playing surfaces  are so good I am sure that  a professional clean  would greatly improve if not remove the crackle.   The record  lays flat on the turntable and plays well without the needle sticking or jumping. 

THE LABELS:    the labels are in  excellent condition.       As this is a first pressing side one shows a DARK Green Apple.   The song  ‘ Her Majesty ’  does NOT appear on the label.  As mentioned, see above there is  a rare mispress / variant to side two on the label.    Theres  NO   stickers or sticker residue on the labels.      On side two there is  a name written in blue pen together with  a date, 1970.
