ITEM:    Extremely Rare vinyl Northern Soul 45,  by The Masqueraders. Original USA White Label Promo pressing. THIS IS NOT A CUT-OUT...NO BB HOLES OR OTHER CUT-OUT MARKS.  Recorded on the Wand Label, number WND 1172.  Side 1 is  " Sweet Lovin' Woman ", at 2:28 minutes.  Side 2 is " Do You Love Me Baby ", at 2:20 minutes.  Included is the Original, CORRECT company sleeve, with the matching "254 W. 54 St"  address.   

COMMENTS/CONDITION:    This 45 came from a private collection. The record is visually graded, and was test played. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

If you are familiar with photography, you probably know that a beat up, trashed record can be made to look like new, by manipulating the way the light source shines on the vinyl. The first four photos I have attached are "normal" views with the light source above the 45. The last two photos were taken with the light source shining on the 45 at an angel, to give less flattering views, and to show some of the surface scuffs and marks on both sides of the 45. I did this to help you judge for yourself the condition of the vinyl. Like most older 45's, this one plays much better than it looks.

Visually, the vinyl is in VG  Condition, with no warps,  deep scratches, or cracks.  Center hole is perfectly round with no signs of abusive playing. Close visual inspection reveals numerous scuffs and light scratches/surface marks on both sides that have minimal effect on the playback or listening enjoyment of the 45. There is a tiny ding on the very edge that does not interfere with the playing or tracking of the record. Both sides played through on my older system with no explosive pops, harsh background noise, skips, or groove lock. Occasional light crackle and soft clicks that did not detract from the music could be heard during some of the quieter passages, mostly on Side 1.  Please Note: These comments are made only for reference, and are NOT a statement as to the results you may experience from your equipment.

The playback sound of this record, in my opinion, is of good quality. I have tried to add sound samples to the listing, for bidders to listen to, but there is a conflict between my "reliable" (LOL) Windows operating system and the software program I am using to try to transfer the track segments to my hard-drive. I am offering a 14 day, money back guarantee, if you are the winning bidder and are not satisfied with the 45. The only requirements are:  1) You must contact me within 7 days of receipt of record if there is a problem.  2) You must return the SAME record I ship, and not a different copy; and  3) The record must be properly and safely packaged,  insured for the full purchase amount, and returned by the same method I used to ship it to you. As per eBay policy, buyer pays all costs of return shipping.

Both labels are in good condition, with NO cut-out holes. There are NO tears, peeling edges, writing, stickers, tape, or nasty stains. Both labels have noticeable ring / rub wear.  I have not tried to clean the vinyl or the labels. Serious collectors usually have their own preferred methods they use.

The sleeve shows moderate usage with noticeable ring/handling wear, and tiny tears around the center and top. The seams are solid with no splits. This is the Correct, Original Company Sleeve with the same address (254 W. 54 St) that is printed on the labels. Some other copies have been sold with a different Wand Records sleeve with the "1650 Broadway" address.  

Do Not Sleep On This One!  This record is rarely seen on eBay, in Any Condition.
