HERE WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT, UK HARVEST (SHVL 795) FIRST ISSUE (November 1971) OF PINK FLOYD'S BREATHTAKING "Meddle" LP WITH THE EARLIEST FIRST PRESS A-1U/B-1U MATRIX AND FULLY TEXTURED G&L SLEEVE

PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH DEEP CUT GROOVES WHICH DELIVER ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING AUDIO
THE FIRST HARVEST LABELS HAVE THE "The Gramophone Co Ltd." RIM TEXT (first issues ONLY on later presses this was replaced by "EMI Records Ltd.")
AND THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL, FIRST ISSUE, FULLY TEXTURED (inside as well as outside), SOFT BACKED GATEFOLD SLEEVE "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." FACTORY SEALED ON THE LEFT SIDE EDGE and DATED CODED '7110' (1971 OCTOBER)
THE SET COME COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL HARVEST, POLY LINED, COMPANY INNER SLEEVE (which is now a bit of a rarity in itself)

Inner Sleeves: Issued with a Harvest Records Company inner sleeve
Labels: Yellow-green Harvest label. At the bottom of the label, it says "Made in GT Britain."Text around the top edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and says: The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says: Unauthorized public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.

LABELS: The 1st HARVEST labels are in GREAT condition with NO wear, NO writing and moderate spindle traces only really evident when angled under a bright light
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. There is one small mark on Side Two and some light superficial circular marks probably caused by a cleaning cloth - NONE of these marks have any audio significance
VINYL Audio: SUPERB - CRYSTAL CLEAR, SHARP, STRONG and VIBRANT SOUND - BEAUTIFUL RICH AUDIO. Pink Floyd's soundscapes cover an AMAZING dynamic range from the loudest crescendos to the almost silent ambient details which makes it difficult to find early pressings which will play without excessive click/pops and/or surface noise but this copy plays BEAUTIFULLY throughout (even the quiet middle section of 'Echoes' plays as quietly as vinyl possibly can). There are NO scratches, NO skips/jumps, barely any clicks or surface noise (really, hardly ANY) and the album plays up to an extremely high standard with BEAUTIFUL CLARITY, NO groove-wear and NO distortion. Must be critically graded EXCELLENT+ for audio and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page) FANTASTIC COPY OF THIS WONDERFUL LP
SLEEVE: The original 1st issue FULLY TEXTURED SOFT GATEFOLD cover is also in SUPERB condition. CRISP, CLEAN and FRESH. There is virtually NO edge wear to speak and the textured surfaces are CLEAN and UNRUBBED. All text on the spine is CLEAR and SHARP. BEAUTIFUL 1st PRESS SLEEVE. EXCELLENT+
The original Harvest inner is also in GREAT condition with NO splits. EXCELLENT+
