EXTRAORDINARY WHITE ALBUM THIS IS AN EARLY PRESSING WITH A LOW NUMBER OF 0067478. THERE ARE NO "AN EMI RECORDING" TEXT ON ANY OF THE LABELS AND DISK 2 HAS THE AMAZING 1G MOTHER/STAMPERS ON BOTH SIDES.THE UNUSUAL THING IS THAT THE SIDE 4 MATRIX ENDS IN 2.IF THIS WAS A STEREO RELEASE YOU WOULDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF IT BECAUSE THEY ARE QUITE COMMON BUT OVER 90% OF MONO'S ALL END IN 1. YOU WOULD CONCLUDE THAT THIS IS A LATER PRESSED DISK BUT THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO "AN EMI RECORDING" TEXT ON THE LABELS WOULD RULE THIS OUT BECAUSE YOU WOULD NEVER GET A COPY UNDER 200,000 WITH THIS TEXT ON SIDE 3 AND 4. I HAVE ASKED THE ADVICE OF EXPERTS ON BEATLES RELEASES AND THEY SAY IT IS VERY UNUSUAL AND MAY EVEN BE AN ERROR!PUTTING THIS TO ONE SIDE HAVING A VINYL WITH 1G STAMPERS ON BOTH SIDES IS VERY EXCITING AND VERY SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS.
THE CONDITION OF THE ALBUM IS AS FOLLOWS:-
THE SLEEVE HAS A SLIGHTLY WIDER SPINE THAN LATER RELEASES AND WOULD GRADE ATLEAST VG+.THERE IS SOME MINOR WEAR TO THE FRONT AND REAR.SLIGHT LAMINATE CREASING AND EDGE WEAR.THE INSIDE IS STILL IN GREAT CONDITION.THE LAMINATE ON THE SPINE HAS WORN FROM OPENING BUT ALL THE TEXT IS STILL VISIBLE.
THE LABELS ON DISK 1 SHOW SOME SPINDLE TRACES AND SLIGHT WEAR AROUND THE HOLE.DISK 2 HAS HARDLY ANY WEAR AND ARE EXCELLENT.
THE VINYLS ARE STRONG EXCELLENT OR BETTER.ALL 4 SIDES HAVE KEPT THEIR BEAUTIFUL GLOSSY MIRROR LIKE SURFACES.ONLY VERY LIGHT WISPY LINES VISIBLE UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT.REALLY SUPERB CONDITION AND PLAYBACK IS ALSO EXCELLENT.GREAT SOUNDING CLEAR MONO WITH ONLY SLIGHT CRACKLE IN SOME QUIETER PARTS SUCH AS RUN INS.
THE FRAGILE DIE CUT BLACK INNERS ARE NEAR EXCELLENT WITH JUST 1 OR 2 TINY TEARS NEAR THE CENTRE HOLE OR OPENING EDGE.
THE POSTER/LYRIC SHEET IS EXCELLENT WITH JUST SOME VERY SLIGHT WEAR ON THE CREASES.
THE 4 PHOTO CARDS ARE ALSO EXCELLENT WITH JUST SLIGHT WEAR.
OVERALL THIS IS A SUPER EARLY COPY WITH FANTASTIC VINYLS AND VERY EXCITING 1G STAMPERS.THESE DON'T COME ALONG VERY OFTEN.
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
