A genuine very 1st press of 'In Rock' on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 2/1. Please note labels are consistent with very 1st press - 'Gramophone' still appears in the perimeter text and there's NO Emi logo apparent. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original Harvest inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In impressive condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side, and one semi-feelable one which does sound - details below. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A truly super rendition with even 'Child In Time' playing supremely well - and that's the test track for pedigree! So, don't underestimate the potential of this LP - it is a very fine player indeed and will out-gun most other copies. The only one vague deviation is right at the end of 'Speed King'. That mark mentioned above causes three clicks as the final guitar chord drones and fades out. They way I see it is..if you're going to have an issue like that - the last couple of seconds of a song is probably the best place! If you can live with that one aberration I can guarantee you that the rest of the LP is absolute knock-out and will thoroughly impress.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Very nice clean front with only a couple of tiny stress creases against the spine edge. The rear looks good too with just a couple of surface level indentations - pretty minor. The interior looks very nice and tidy and has escaped the most of the ageing many copies suffer from - just one blemish at the top of the spine. Edge wear is light for this title. There's very little wear on the spine and the text seems to be all still legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of ageing. But no splits....Catalogue number written in one spot top right corner.
