Description

An original 1st press of MH on the UK Purple label. Matrix A1/B1 - 1st cut. Stampers 1M/1L - placing this copy amongst the 1st few thousand copies ever produced. Please note the labels mention 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text and this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original generic white inner with patent information. The tri-fold lyric sheet is present too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Do expect a few light marks each side, and then in 'Never Before' there is a noticeable mark which is semi-feelable [it sounds - details below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A great rendition of this PURPLE classic with bags of energy and power. Interference is minor and certainly infrequent. Do expect a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. An super early copy which really does this 70's hard rock title maximum justice.
Cover (Vg+) Has clearly been looked after down the years. Nice clean front cover with the only crease being down in the bottom right corner. The rear looks good too with just a couple more creases at the opening. The interior looks very nice - no problems at all. Edge wear is mostly light, with just a couple of slight knocks on the spine. The text on the spine is still all mostly legible.
Inner (Ex-) No splits and light ageing.
Lyric Poster (Ex-)  A bit of creasing in places, but it's all there!
